Less is More-Thoughts after reading “L'art de la simplicité”

This book is the feeling of a French woman living in Japan for a long time, and it is also the product of the fusion or collision of Eastern and Western cultures.

There is no right or wrong way to see the ideas and advice in the book, and it may not be suitable for everyone, but it can give some inspiration to life.

Personally, I agree that "less but better, less is more, more feelings and less possession".

In the past, I would consider the cost-effective way to buy things, but now I think I should buy the best products within the budget, especially the ones that will be used for a long time, so that I can minimize the situation of buying new ones if I am not satisfied with the old ones, and reduce the occupation of space in my home.

With fewer items at home, there is more space, and the use of items is convenient, so you don't need to spend more time organizing or cleaning items, and you don't need to worry about replacing or repairing items.

In the future, I plan to clean out items once a year, and items not used for more than a year can be labeled with a yellow tag, and items not used for three years can be disposed of. Try to give away as much as you can, and if it's not suitable for giving away, take it to the recycle bin or destroy it.

Reducing items will give you more time for yourself. Pay more attention to your body, maintain a good body shape, and look clean, tidy, and beautiful. Pay more attention to your psychology, watch more nutritious books, movies and TV works, socialize more with people who have a good influence on you, and reduce ineffective or negative social interactions. Take more time to feel nature and experience places you haven't been and behaviors you haven't experienced.
